Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using the Kannlicit platform, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you (or your organisation) and Kannlicit.

Description of Service

Kannlicit is a software platform that helps Canadian licensed cannabis retailers generate marketing content and assess existing content against known Cannabis Act promotion patterns. The platform uses AI to assist with content creation and compliance assessment.

Kannlicit is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. All outputs from our platform — including content assessments, compliance flags, and generated marketing copy — are automated assessments based on known compliance patterns and are provided for informational purposes only.

A “No Obvious Concerns” result does not mean your content is legally compliant with the Cannabis Act or any other applicable law. You are solely responsible for ensuring your marketing materials comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Always consult a qualified cannabis regulatory specialist before publishing promotional content.

Eligibility and Account Responsibilities

You must be of legal age in your province or territory to use this platform
You must be associated with a licensed cannabis retailer operating in Canada
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
You must not share your account with anyone outside your licensed organisation

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the platform to:

Generate content that violates the Cannabis Act or any applicable law
Circumvent or attempt to circumvent compliance guardrails
Reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce the platform or its AI outputs for resale
Use the platform for any unlicensed cannabis activity
Attempt to access other organisations' data or accounts

Subscription, Billing, and Cancellation

All plans include a 14-day free trial with 25 generations and no credit card required
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in Canadian dollars (CAD)
Annual subscriptions are billed as a single upfront payment (10 months' value)
You may cancel at any time through the billing portal in your account settings
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

Intellectual Property

Content you generate using Kannlicit belongs to you. Kannlicit retains all rights to the platform, its underlying AI systems, compliance logic, and software. You grant Kannlicit a limited licence to process your inputs to provide the service.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kannlicit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to regulatory penalties, fines, or enforcement actions taken by Health Canada or any other regulatory body. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the service is to cancel your subscription.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, Canada.
